How it works
In each issue of the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy, the Journal Club selects an article or articles and provide discussion questions. We encourage you to post a summary of your responses to these materials.
ACAM Fellow can access the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy via the member area of the ACAM website.
A) Discussion Questions
The discussion questions can be used to stimulate reflection and conversation. In particular, these questions are designed to help journal club participants, a) identify key points addressed by the article, and put them in context, b) discuss the scientific validity of the findings, and c) consider how the findings apply to practice, policy, education or research. The current selection(s) (above) and previous selections (below) include article citation(s), discussion tips, and discussion questions.
B) Online Discussion
The ACAM Online Journal Club is a way for you to share insights and conversation themes with other journal club members. After reading an article in the nominated journal, we ask you to consider summarising your responses and post a comment.
To submit a comment in the online discussion, click 'click here for details' link to see the detail page of each discussion topic and click 'submit Comment' button to submit the comment.
When clicking 'submit comment' button, system prompts to log into the online journal cub. Fellow can log into the online journal club using their ASCM username and password.
Each comment will include the title of the comment, other authors' names if the comment is contributed by people who are not the Fellow of the ACAM, and the actual comment details.
You can also check the 'receive the update alert' box if you want to follow other club members' comments.
C) Approval Process
The Board of Censors of ACAM will review every comment after it is posted. Only approved comments will be published in the Online Journal Club. If the comment is rejected, the person who posted the comment will be informed.
D) CPD Points
